FAQ

1. Can I choose different cake flavors?

Yes, each tier can be a different cake flavor. Eg, 2 tier cake, 2 different flavours, 3 tier cake, 3 different cake flavours.

2. Do you deliver?

I deliver and set up all wedding cakes, but that is dependent on the distance of your venue and time availability on the day.

3. Can I collect and assemble the cake on my own?

Yes, each tier comes packed in its own box, and will have to be assembled at the venue. Care and set up instructions will be provided.

4. Will my cake melt?

Ganache, buttercream and fondant and sugar flowers are temperature and humidity sensitive. A cool, air conditioned venue is ideal. Open air/ outdoor venues/ clear roof and closed marquees that retain heat are at your own risk. If it is extremely hot inside your venue/marquee, I will make a decision whether to assemble your cake or not as it is in your best interest to have a cake that is still intact and edible, rather than assembling the cake and having it melt and fall a part.

5. Can I keep the cake in the fridge before the wedding or event starts if it is hot?

No. Cakes should not be stored in the fridge, once removed, the icing will start to get sticky and sweaty or look shiny, and can even cause the cake to melt at a faster rate due to the drastic temperature change.

6. Will my cake look exactly like the picture?

It is impossible to recreate a carbon copy of a picture sourced from the internet as these are often photo-shopped and edited (AI) to make them aesthetically/ visually appealing. Cakes are made by hand, from scratch and is an art form. I will, however try my best to bring those images to life for you, as close to the picture as possible.

7. I have so many design ideas and details that I like, can we use them all on 1 cake?

I love seeing your pictures and designs as it gives me a better idea of the look that you would like for your cake. I will gladly sketch and create something using those details, that is special and unique just for you.

8. How do I cut a cake properly?

A hot knife is essential to cut cleanly through cake, buttercream, ganache and fondant. Follow the cake cutting instructions sent on whatsapp, it will ensure that you can have your cake and eat it, too!

9. How long will my cake last or how should I store it properly?

Our cakes do not contain any chemical preservatives, and are baked timeously within the week of your wedding/event. It’s best eaten on the day or the next day or 2 afterwards (wrapped and stored in the fridge) If you would like to save some cake and freeze it, this should be done on the day or the next day.
